A STOMPER FROM LITTLE DICK, SORRY, LITTLE RICHARD

Richard Wayne Penniman (born December 5, 1932), better known by the stage name Little Richard, is an African-American singer, songwriter, and pianist, who began performing in the 1940s and recording from 1951.

Penniman's reputation rests on a string of groundbreaking hit singles from 1955 through 1957, such as "Tutti Frutti" and "Long Tall Sally", which helped lay the foundation for rock and roll music, influencing generations of rhythm and blues, rock and soul music artists. Little Richard's injection of funk during this period also influenced the development of that genre of music.

Little Richard's early work was a mix of boogie-woogie, rhythm and blues and gospel music, but with a heavily accentuated back-beat, funky saxophone grooves and raspy, shouted vocals, moans, screams, and other emotive inflections that marked a new kind of music. In 1957, while at the height of stardom, he became a born-again Christian and withdrew from recording and performing secular music.

James Brown, who called Little Richard his idol, credited him with "first putting the funk in the rock and roll beat" via his saxophone-studded, mid-'50s road band, by Smokey Robinson, in 1997 as, "the start of that driving, funky, never let up rock 'n' roll", by Dick Clark as "the model for almost every rock and roll performer of the '50s and years thereafter", and Ray Charles, in 1989, as "the man that started a kind of music that set the pace for a lot of what's happening today." In 1969, Elvis Presley told Little Richard, "Your music has inspired me - you are the greatest.". Otis Redding, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Mick Jagger, John Fogerty, Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, David Bowie, and numerous other rock n roll icons have also cited Little Richard as being their first major influence.

Justin Randall Timberlake, (born January 31, 1981[1]), sometimes known as JT, is an American pop-R&B singer and actor. He came to fame as the frontman of pop boy band 'N Sync and has won four Grammy Awards. In 2002, he released his debut solo album, Justified, which sold over seven million copies worldwide. Timberlake's second solo release, FutureSex/LoveSounds, was released in 2006 with the #1 U.S. hit singles "SexyBack", "My Love", and "What Goes Around… Comes Around". With his first two albums, Timberlake has sold over 14 million albums worldwide. He has started a record label called Tennman Records.

Timberlake was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Randall Timberlake and Lynn (née Bomar). He has British ancestry.[2] His paternal grandfather, Charles L. Timberlake, was a Baptist minister, and Timberlake was raised in the Baptist religion, although he considers himself more "spiritual than religious", though still a Christian.[3][4] His parents divorced about 1985 and both have remarried; his mother, who now runs an entertainment company called JustinTime Entertainment, remarried to Paul Harless, a banker, when Justin was aged 5; while his father, a choir director at a Baptist church, has two children, Jonathan (born c. 1993) and Stephen (born c. 1998), from his second marriage to Lisa. A half-sister, Laura Katherine, died shortly after birth in 1997 and is mentioned on one of Timberlake's record acknowledgments as "My Angel in Heaven".

Timberlake grew up in Millington, a small town just north of Memphis. His first attempts at a singing career saw him singing country music songs on Star Search as "Justin Randall". In 1993, he got a real taste of fame when he joined the ranks of The Mickey Mouse Club. There he met future girlfriend and pop superstar Britney Spears, future tourmate Christina Aguilera, and future bandmate JC Chasez. When the show ended in 1995, Timberlake recruited Chasez to be in a new all-male singing group Lou Pearlman (an Orlando swindler, now indicted on criminal charges of investment fraud) was forming with Chris Kirkpatrick. The group would come to be known as *NSYNC. In 1999 Justin acted as Jason Sharpe in the made-for-TV movie Model Behavior.

Timberlake was a member of the popular 1990s boy band, 'N Sync, and was considered a teen idol. The group formed in 1995 and started their career 1996 in Germany and hit it big in the States two years later in 1998, eventually releasing the fastest-selling album of all time, No Strings Attached in 2000.[5] In 2002, after the completion of their Celebrity Tour and release of "Girlfriend", the third single from their 2001 album Celebrity, the group decided to take time off, at which point Timberlake began work on his first solo album. The album signaled a transition from his squeaky-clean boy band image to a sexier, more mature look and feel.

Looking back at those days concerning the management by Lou Pearlman, Timberlake said 24 September 2006 in an interview with magazine Rolling Stone: "I was being monetarily raped by a Svengali".[6]

In August 2002, after months of recording the album, Timberlake performed at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards, where he premiered his first single, "Like I Love You", a sparse dance track produced by The Neptunes. The song reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100. Following the single, Timberlake released his debut solo album, Justified, on November 5, 2002. The album was also a success, despite selling considerably less than previous 'N Sync efforts. It debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart, selling 439,000 copies in its first week of release. It eventually went on to sell over 3 million copies in the U.S. and over 7 million copies worldwide.[7] The album contained several tracks which were created to be part of Michael Jackson's Invincible album but did not make it to the final selection of songs used for it. The album also received critical acclaim, thanks to its heavy R&B influence provided by hip-hop producers The Neptunes and Timbaland. It spun off hits throughout late 2002 and 2003, including the top ten singles "Cry Me A River" and "Rock Your Body".

Timberlake supported the album by co-headlining the Justified/Stripped Tour with Christina Aguilera in the summer of 2003. For many dates, The Black Eyed Peas served as the opening act; Timberlake appeared uncredited on their smash hit "Where Is The Love?" which was also released in the summer of 2003. His record company did not want Timberlake to be credited for fear that it would take focus away from his solo releases; still, Timberlake often appeared with The Black Eyed Peas to perform the track live, including during the 2003 MTV Europe Music Awards. By the end of the year, Timberlake recorded a song entitled "I'm Lovin' It." It was used by McDonald's as the theme to their "I'm Lovin' It" campaign. The deal with McDonald's earned Timberlake an estimated $6 million.[8]

In February 2004, during the halftime show of the Super Bowl XXXVIII, Timberlake performed with Janet Jackson before a television audience of over 140 million viewers. At the end of the performance, Timberlake tore off a part of Jackson's black leather costume in a "costume reveal" meant to accompany a portion of the song lyrics, "gonna have you naked by the end of this song". Part of the costume became detached, and Jackson's breast was briefly exposed. Timberlake apologized for the incident saying that he was "sorry that anyone was offended by the wardrobe malfunction during the halftime performance of the Super Bowl… It was not intentional and is regrettable".[9] The phrase "wardrobe malfunction" has since been used by the media to refer to the incident and has entered pop culture.

As a result of the controversy, Timberlake and Jackson were banned from the 2004 Grammy Awards unless they agreed to apologize on screen at the event. Jackson, who already gave a public apology declined to issue a second one. Timberlake attended and issued a scripted apology while accepting the first of two Grammy Awards he received that night (Best Pop Vocal Album for Justified and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Cry Me A River"),causing some from the Black entertainment community to label him a "punk" and"sell out" and call for his "Black Pass" to be revoked.[10] He had also been nominated for Album of the Year for Justified, Record of the Year for "Cry Me A River", and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Where Is The Love?" with The Black Eyed Peas.

2004–2006: Collaborations and acting
After the Super Bowl controversy, Timberlake put his recording career on hold in an attempt to jumpstart his acting career. Timberlake had a few minor acting roles during his early music career, including a bit part as a model in the 2000 made-for-television film Model Behavior, and a cameo in the 2001 film On the Line, but was seeking more substantial roles. The first role he took during this time was as a journalist in the thriller Edison Force, which was filmed in 2004 and received a direct-to-video release on July 18, 2006. He also appeared in the films Alpha Dog, Black Snake Moan, Richard Kelly's Southland Tales, and voiced a young King Arthur in the animated film Shrek the Third, released on May 18th, 2007. He also appeared as a young Elton John, in the video for John's song, "This Train Don't Stop There Anymore".

Meanwhile, he continued to record with other artists. After "Where Is The Love?", he again collaborated with the Black Eyed Peas on the 2005 track "My Style" from their album Monkey Business. Additionally, Timberlake was featured on Nelly's song, "Work It", which was remixed and included on Nelly's 2003 remix album. When recording the 2005 single "Signs" with Snoop Dogg, Timberlake discovered a throat condition. Nodules were subsequently removed from his throat[11] in an operation that took place on May 5, 2005. He was advised not to sing or speak loudly for at least a few months. In the summer of 2005, Timberlake started his own record company, JayTee Records.

Timberlake had a cameo in Nelly Furtado and Timbaland's video for her single "Promiscuous". He released his second solo album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, on September 12, 2006. The album, which Timberlake created in 2005,[12] debuted in the number one position on the Billboard chart, selling 684,000 copies its first week. The album is also the biggest album ever for pre-orders on iTunes, and beat Coldplay's record for the biggest one-week sales of a digital album. The album was produced by Timbaland and Danja (Who produced a bulk of the album), will.i.am, Rick Rubin and Timberlake himself,[13] and features guest vocals by Three 6 Mafia, T.I. and will.i.am. A studio representative described it as being "all about sexiness" and aiming for "an adult feel".[11] The album's lead single, "SexyBack", was performed by Timberlake at the opening of the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. It began receiving radio and Internet play on July 7, 2006, and premiered at #90 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles and by week nine it reached number one, where it remained for seven consecutive weeks.[14] "My Love", the album's second single, also produced by Timbaland and featuring rapper T.I., reached number one on the Hot 100 for the week ending November 11, 2006. Timberlake performed the album's third single "What Goes Around…/…Comes Around Interlude" on the December 16, 2006 episode of Saturday Night Live, the same week it debuted at #64 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is reported to have been inspired by the break-up of his childhood friend and business partner Trace Ayala with actress Elisha Cuthbert.[15] In October of 2006, Timberlake confirmed that he would focus on his music career rather than his film roles, specifying that leaving the music industry would be a "dumb thing to do at this point".[14] Justin was featured in the 2006 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for being the special guest performer. Timberlake performed the first single SexyBack at the first part of the show, and later performed a medley of My Love and LoveStoned/I Think She Knows Interlude. In January 2007, Timberlake embarked on the FutureSex/LoveShow tour. According to the sweetescape.com, Summer Love/Set the Mood Prelude is confirmed to be his fourth single off the album as it already has charted on the Pop 100 Airplay at #1.[16] According to Justin's official UK site, the next single in the UK is "LoveStoned/I Think She Knows Interlude".[17] The singles What Goes Around…/…Comes Around Interlude, and Give It To Me also reached the number 1 spot, the former just one week, and the latter two weeks atop The Billboard Hot 100. In April 2007, Timberlake was seen entering a London studio with Madonna, thus confirming rumors that he was collaborating with the pop star. Justin revealed that "We actually wound up with 5 or 6 really good songs, some finished, some unfinished, and we're gonna go back in July and finish some more stuff." And asked if he would be singing with Madonna, he said, "Possibly, yeah!"[18]

Timberlake has opened several restaurants in the United States. In 2005 he launched the William Rast clothing line, sold in Bloomingdale's, with childhood friend Trace Ayala. The 2007 line will contain cord jackets, cashmere sweaters, jeans and polo shirts.[19] In 2004, ABC hired Timberlake to write a song for its NBA coverage. In October of 2005, the Grammy Association awarded Timberlake for humanitarian efforts in Tennessee, alongside writer/director Craig Brewer, also a Memphis native.

Near the end of 2002, Timberlake was the first celebrity to appear on Punk'd, a "candid camera" type show created by Ashton Kutcher to trick celebrities. Three episodes later, he set up Kelly Osbourne to be "punk'd", thus making him the first celebrity to appear on the show more than once. Timberlake later spoofed Ashton Kutcher and Punk'd in a 2003 episode of NBC's Saturday Night Live. In 2006 he hosted the European MTV Music Awards. On December 16, 2006, he hosted Saturday Night Live, doing double duty as both host and musical guest for the second time. During this appearance, he and Andy Samberg performed an R&B song for a skit entitled "Dick in a Box," which some radio stations have aired as an unofficial single from Timberlake. Apart from Nite Runner, Justin Timberlake are recording another track with Duran Duran, called Falling Down.

Timberlake is going make an appearance on 50 Cent's third album Curtis with Timbaland for a track called "AYO Technology", which will be the album's fourth single.[20]. Also, another possible collaboration will occur with Lil Wayne for his upcoming album Tha Carter III with Nelly Furtado and Timbaland. [21]

Two early teen romances, first to a school sweetheart and then to aspiring pop singer Veronica Finn predated intense media interest, but both ended unhappily. Timberlake then entered a high-profile celebrity relationship with fellow pop singer Britney Spears, with whom he had worked on the New Mickey Mouse Club. This ended abruptly in March 2002, amidst allegations of Spears' infidelity with choreographer Wade Robson, a mutual friend of Spears and Timberlake. Lynn Harless says as a mother she too was devastated regarding the break-up, but to this day speaks warmly of Spears, "Britney grew up on my living room floor. I still love her to death. They (Justin and Britney) were together 10 of 11 years and had, from day one, instant chemistry between them. She's a sweet girl. I just hate what she's going through now." The breakup influenced the lyrics and theme of Timberlake's hit "Cry Me A River", one of the most popular singles from Justified.[22]

Timberlake later dated actress-dancer Jenna Dewan (in mid-2002) and actress-singer Alyssa Milano (between September and October of 2002). Timberlake began dating actress Cameron Diaz soon after they met at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in April 2003. Regular rumours of break-ups reported in the tabloid press were invariably denied.[23][24] On the December 16, 2006 episode of Saturday Night Live, Diaz introduced Timberlake as the night's musical guest, and the couple actually did split up shortly afterwards. They issued a joint statement on January 11, 2007:[25]

" It has always been our preference not to comment on the status of our relationship, but, out of respect for the time we've spent together, we feel compelled to do so now, in light of recent speculation and the number of inaccurate stories that are being reported by the media. We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another.[26] "

In January 2007, Timberlake was linked to Jessica Biel when pictures surfaced of the two snowboarding in Park City, Utah during the Sundance Film Festival. On May 12, 2007, the gossip was refueled with the release of romantic pictures of Timberlake and Biel on multiple dates, specifically caught kissing while dining in the UK accompanied by producer/mogul Timbaland and the Manchester United footballer Alan Smith.[27][28] Timberlake was given Sexiest Man titles by Teen People and Cosmopolitan magazines.

"LoveStoned/I Think She Knows Interlude" (also referred to as only "LoveStoned") is a song co-written and produced by Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, and Danja. It is to be the fifth single in North America, and fourth single in Europe, to be released from Timberlake's second solo album, FutureSex/LoveSounds. Its release was confirmed on FMQB and Timberlake's official UK website.[2] It is solicited to mainstream and rhythmic radio on July 10. The single will be released in Europe during the summer. It will also be released as the fourth single in Australia in mid July.

The song, "LoveStoned" illustrates Timberlake's hypothetical infatuation with a woman who Timberlake believes has knowledge about his infatuation for her. The lyrics refer to "flashing lights" that hit her obsequiously as Timberlake stares, enthralled by the woman's appearance, suggesting the setting is a nightclub. The term "LoveStoned" initially gives the impression that Timberlake has a strong desire to "be with" the woman at a predominantly emotional level, however at closer inspection of the lyrics no type of emotional relationship has been established, thus suggesting a yearning of a sexual nature. There is also a three minute interlude to the song that begins with a breakdown of the original beat from "LoveStoned". It is comprised of Timberlake's beatboxing, synth beats and violins, then a simple riff on an electric guitar which starts the rest of the interlude with a slower version of "LoveStoned"'s beat with added percussion as well as piano and strings. Timberlake stated in an interview with AOL Music that the interlude was inspired by the band Interpol.

Justin has performed "LoveStoned" at the 2006 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and also in 2006 at the MTV Europe Music Awards, which Timberlake also hosted. It is also played in a Verizon Communications commercial for the V CAST service, which Justin has a channel on (JT-TV). Usually the postlude is left out for time's sake but is performed in full on Justin's FutureSex/LoveShow tour. It should also be noted that "LoveStoned" was released as a teaser single (predominantly in the United States) in early September, 2006, though it is not entirely recognized as a single by the label.

Both Jive and Timberlake originally planned for "LoveStoned" to be either the 3rd or 4th single off of his album, however with a high demand for "What Goes Around… Comes Around" the label decided to save it for later on. In the Spring of 2007, after "What Goes Around… Comes Around" had run its course, Jive announced that "LoveStoned" would be the 4th single. A video was shot, and promotion was all set to go. However, in the United States, as the weather became warmer, stations began playing "Summer Love" as it was more fitting for the season. This forcibly put a delay on "LoveStoned" in the states even though it had already been released everywhere else. Jive finally decided to let "Summer Love" run its course and release "LoveStoned" as the 5th single.

It was reported by Manchester Evening News that shooting took place at Web Studios in Salford, England.[3] Timberlake was reported to have used 600 kilowatts of lighting power, the most the studios ever used.

The video premiered on Yahoo! Music on June 13, 2007 and on MuchMusic's MuchOnDemand on June 14, 2007. Total Request Live premiered the video on June 18 and it debuted at #9 on June 19. It was the 'Ripe Clip of the Week' in Australia on June 15 to June 21. In the Netherlands it was 'Superclip' on the MTV-owned European TV music channel TMF. The video was directed by Robert Hales.[4]

In the video, Timberlake is illustrated in the form of a blue frequency. Throughout this portion of the video, a woman and his band are also seen in this form.

The video for the interlude shows Timberlake singing in a white background.

Johann (Hans) Hölzel (February 19, 1957 — February 6, 1998), better known by his stage name Falco, was an Austrian classical music prodigy turned hip hop, pop and rock star. His albums and singles have sold about 60 million copies worldwide.
Early Years
Born in Vienna, the only survivor of a triplets birth, Falco was recognized as a child prodigy and schooled in classical music. Graduating from the Vienna Music Conservatory in 1977, he lived for a short time in Berlin, West Germany, singing in a jazz-rock band. When he returned to Vienna he was calling himself "Falco," reportedly in tribute to the German skier Falko Weissflog, and playing in the Austrian bands Spinning Wheel and Hallucination Company. En route to becoming an international rock star in his own right, he was bass player in the Austrian hard rock-punk rock band Drahdiwaberl (from 1978 until 1983). With Drahdiwaberl he wrote and performed the song Ganz Wien, which he would also include on his debut solo album, Einzelhaft.
Individual Success
Falco's first hit was "Der Kommissar," from the 1982 album Einzelhaft. A German language song about drug consumption that combines rap verses with a sung chorus, Falco's record was a number-one success in many countries but failed to break big in the U.S. The song, however, would prove to have a life of its own in two English-language versions. British Christian rock band After The Fire recorded an English cover version, loosely based on Falco's lyrics and also called "Der Kommissar" (with "uh-oh," the only other lyric held over from the original). This time, the song shot to number three in the United States (their only major hit there) in 1983, though it failed to crack the UK Top 40. Ironically, the band—who had been together more than a decade—broke up almost immediately thereafter. That same year, American singer Laura Branigan recorded a version of the song with new English lyrics, under the title "Deep In The Dark," on her album Branigan 2.
After a second album, Junge Römer, failed to provide a repeat to his debut single's success (outside of Austria and Germany, where the album topped the charts), Falco began to experiment with English lyrics in an effort to broaden his appeal, and chose a new production team. The result would be the most popular album and single of his career.
Falco recorded "Rock Me Amadeus" inspired in part by the Oscar-winning film Amadeus, and the song became a worldwide hit in 1986. This time, his record reached #1 in the U.S., bringing him the success that had eluded him in that major market a few years earlier. The song remained in the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks and his album, Falco 3, fittingly peaked at the number three position on the Billboard album charts. Unheard of at the time for a white performer, much less a European one, the Austrian rapper's single climbed to the upper reaches of the Billboard Top R&B Singles Chart (only a few years earlier called the "Black Singles" chart), peaking at number 6. It would be two more years before a white artist, George Michael, would momentarily break the reverse-color barrier to top that chart, and it would be a feat not repeated until Robin Thicke in 2007. (Both men did it with blue-eyed soul ballads; only Eminem has peaked higher on that chart with a rap song, and only once, reaching number four in 2002.) Falco 3 peaked at number 18 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. Ultimately, "Rock Me Amadeus" went to the #1 spot in over a dozen countries including Russia and Japan. Follow-up single "Vienna Calling" was another international pop hit, peaking at #18 of the Billboard Charts and #17 on the U.S. Cash Box Charts in 1986. A double A-side 12" single featuring remixes of those two hits peaked at #4 on the U.S. Dance/Disco charts.
"Jeanny," the third release from the album Falco 3, brought the performer back to the top of the charts across Europe. Highly controversial when it was released in Germany and the Netherlands, the story of "Jeanny" was told from the point of view of a rapist and possible murderer. Several DJs and radio stations refused to play the ballad, which was ignored in the U.S., although it became a huge hit in many European countries, and inspired two sequels on later albums.
In 1986, the album Emotional was released, produced by Rob and Ferdi Bolland (Bolland & Bolland). On the Album were "Coming Home (Jeanny Part 2)", and songs about Kathleen Turner and Robert Capa. "The Sound of Musik" was another international success, and a Top 20 U.S. Dance hit, though he failed to make the U.S. pop charts.
In 1987, he sang a duet with Brigitte Nielsen "Body Next to Body" and the single was a Top 10 hit in the Germanic countries. The Album Wiener Blut was released in 1988 but it did not get much publicity outside Germany and Austria.
In 1990, he made a song for Cindy Crawford and Tatjana Patitz, "Tanja P. not Cindy C.", which appeared on the Album Data de Groove.
After "Jeanny", there were a number of European hits, but Falco was rarely heard in the U.S. and the UK. His 1992 U.S. comeback attempt, with the song "Titanic," won a number of awards, but failed to chart in America.
Death

Falco died of severe injuries received following his collision with a bus in his Mitsubishi Pajero near the resort of Puerto Plata, in the Dominican Republic on February 6, 1998, just two weeks shy of his 41st birthday. At the time of his death, he was working on a comeback into the music world.
He was buried in the Zentralfriedhof (Central Cemetery) in Vienna, Austria.
Legacy
Perhaps due to the perception of his style's appeal as novelty, Falco is often considered a one-hit wonder in the U.S. and UK, despite having two Top 20 songs and two Top 10 songs in those territories respectively, as well as other, lesser chart hits. In fact, from "Der Kommissar" in 1982 through posthumous releases in 1999, there are only seven years that Falco did not notch a top 10 hit in his native Austria, a total of twenty-three Top 40 hits spanning twenty-seven years, most of those releases also becoming hits in neighboring Germany. Sixteen years after he debuted the song, "Der Kommissar 2000" brought two new remixes of Falco's original back to the charts, and to dancefloors around the world. Co-opting an African-American genre but giving it an entirely German sound, he blazed a trail that few have followed, and none so uniquely with such success. At a time when most chart-topping black rappers were fairly mainstream lyrically, "Der Kommissar" and "Jeanny" were dark and daring—and massive international hits—before his American counterparts made such avant garde doings de rigeur.
Tributes to Falco
In 1998, Rob and Ferdi Bolland (Dutch producers and co-writers of about half of Falco's albums) released the EP Tribute to Falco under the name "The Bolland Project feat. Alida." The title track featured samples of Falco's music; the other tracks were "We Say Goodbye" and "So Lonely."
In 2004, Mexican metal band Molotov released a tribute song for Falco called "Amateur (Rock Me Amadeus)" (in the Molotov comic style). Austrian metal band Stahlhammer has covered several of Falco's songs, including "Der Mann mit dem Koks" and "Jeanny." German rapper Fler quoted/copied the chorus melody of "Rock Me Amadeus" in his 2005 hit single "Neue Deutsche Welle 2005" (New German Wave 2005). Rapper Tech N9ne did a rendition of the song called "I'm a playa." The chorus line is the same as "Rock me Amadeus" but replaced with "I'm a Playa, I'm a playa." The rap-rock formation of the Bloodhound Gang have a song called "Mope" which is a tribute to Falco.
There have also been numerous covers and parodies of "Rock Me Amadeus", including a cover by NDH band Megaherz. Artists from V/Vm Test Records have released a number of debauched "remixes" of various Falco songs.
In The Simpsons episode A Fish Called Selma Falco's tune "Rock Me Amadeus" receives a slightly offbeat tribute in the musical presentation of Planet of the Apes (starring Troy McClure). The repeated tag of "Amadeus Amadeus" is transferred into "Dr. Zaius, Dr. Zaius". A later episode, "Behind the Laughter," features Willie Nelson saying, "Thank you, Taco, for that loving tribute to Falco," as well as the very end of that fictional tribute.
In Family Guy episode Petarded the song that Lois's tumor sings is to the tune of "Rock Me Amadeus" by Falco with all the words replaced simply with "I'm a tumor, I'm a tumor".

Talk Talk was a popular English music group that was active from 1981 to 1991. In mainstream circles, the group is most well known for their early synthpop/New Wave singles, including the international hits "Today", "Talk Talk", "It's My Life", "Such a Shame", "Dum Dum Girl", "Life's What You Make It" and "Living in Another World". However, in the music community they are recognised more for the artistic achievements of their later experimental albums, recognised as forerunners to the post-rock genre.
Beginnings
Talk Talk began as a quartet consisting of Mark Hollis (vocals), Simon Brenner (keyboards), Lee Harris (drums) and Paul Webb (bass). They were generally associated with the New Wave movement, and bands such as EMI stable-mates Duran Duran. This line-up released a self-titled debut EP in 1982 which was quickly expanded into a full-length album entitled The Party's Over. The band charted in the UK with the singles "Talk Talk" and "Today", both produced by Colin Thurston (who had also produced hits for Duran Duran and Howard Jones).
Brenner left after the 1983 non-LP single "My Foolish Friend", which was produced by frequent Roxy Music collaborator Rhett Davies. At this point, the band added unofficial fourth member Tim Friese-Greene, who became Talk Talk's keyboard player, producer, and Hollis' frequent writing partner. Friese-Greene did not generally play with the band during live shows; Talk Talk stopped playing live in 1986.
Success
Talk Talk had a huge success in 1984/85 in continental Europe with the album It's My Life. While still accessible, this LP slowly moved the band away from "New Wave" towards a more experimental sound. The accompanying single "Such a Shame" (a song inspired by the book The Dice Man) became a major hit and a number one in several countries during this period, and an icon for many New Wave European listeners. The aforementioned title cut was also a big hit. But, strangely, this album and its singles were relatively ignored in their native UK, even though they maintained a substantial cult following.
They eventually abandoned the New Wave style completely with the minor classic The Colour of Spring in 1986. This became their biggest studio album success in the UK, partly thanks to the Top 20 single "Life's What You Make It", and was again a hit album in Europe, featuring another Top 40 single: "Living in Another World". By this time, all Talk Talk songs were being written by Hollis and Friese-Greene. Guests on the album included Steve Winwood.
Later period
The success of The Colour of Spring afforded the band an open budget and schedule for the recording of their next album. About a year in the making, and featuring contributions from many outside musicians, Spirit of Eden was released in 1988. The album was assembled from many hours of improvised instrumentation that Hollis and Friese-Greene had edited and arranged using digital equipment. The result was a mix of rock, jazz, classical, and ambient music. While critically praised, the album was not as commercially viable as its predecessors, and the band declared they would not tour in support of it.
During the making of Spirit of Eden, Talk Talk manager Keith Aspden had attempted to free the band from their recording contract with EMI. "I knew by that time that EMI was not the company this band should be with," Aspden said. "I was fearful that the money wouldn't be there to record another album."[1] EMI, however, wished to keep the band on their roster.[2] After many months of litigation, the band ultimately succeeded in extracting themselves from the contract. EMI then sued the band, claiming that Spirit of Eden was not "commercially satisfactory," but the case was thrown out of court.[3]
In 1990, Talk Talk agreed to a two-album contract with Polydor. They released Laughing Stock on the Verve Records imprint in 1991. By this time, Webb had left the group. Talk Talk had by then morphed into what was essentially a brand name for the studio recordings of Hollis and Friese-Greene, along with a bevy of session studio players (including long-term Talk Talk drummer Harris). Laughing Stock crystallised the experimental sound the band started with Spirit of Eden (which has been retroactively categorised as "post-rock" by some critics). Laughing Stock adopted an even more minimalist style than its predecessor, but this did not stop it achieving a respectable Top 30 showing in the UK Albums Chart.
With the band now released from EMI, the label released the retrospective compilation Natural History in 1990. Surprisingly, it went on to sell over one million copies in Britain alone and rose to number 3 in the UK album chart. The 1984 single "It's My Life" was also re-released, and this time became the band's biggest success in their native country, making number 13 in the UK Singles Chart. Following up on this renewed popular interest in the band, the label released History Revisited in 1991, a compilation of 12 inch singles and alternative versions which made the Top 40, an unusually high showing for a remix album. The band sued EMI for remixing their material without permission.
Breakup and aftermath
After Laughing Stock, Talk Talk disbanded. Paul Webb rejoined Lee Harris, and the two went on to form the band .O.rang, while Tim Friese-Greene started recording under the name Heligoland. In 1998, Mark Hollis released his self-titled solo début Mark Hollis, which was very much in keeping with the minimalist post-rock sound of Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock.
Webb also collaborated under the name of Rustin Man with Beth Gibbons and released Out of Season in 2002, while Harris featured on the Bark Psychosis 2004 album, ///Codename: Dustsucker.
In 2002, German 80s pop sensation Sandra released a cover version of "Such a Shame" which became a minor hit in Germany but reached the Top 20 and Top 30 in Hungary and Czech Republic respectively.
In 2003, No Doubt released a cover version of "It's My Life" which became a major international hit.

Top 10 Most Ridiculous Black Metal Pictures of all time part1 funny comedy

Black metal is a heavy metal subgenre. It is typically characterized by the use of heavily-distorted guitars, harsh or shreiking vocals, fast-paced rhythms and melodies, and unconventional song structures.

The first bands to pioneer the style were mostly thrash metal bands that formed the prototype for black metal; they are referred to collectively as the First Wave, and consist of a few bands, such as Venom and Bathory. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, a Second Wave emerged in Norway, including prominent bands like Mayhem and Darkthrone. Although there is no well-defined Third Wave, modern black metal bands have incorporated new musical and lyrical trends into their music.

Black metal has been met with considerable hostility from mainstream culture, mainly because of the misanthropic and anti-Judeo-Christian attitude of many bands. This iconoclastic ideology is typical of black metal bands. Additionally, a few black metal bands have been known to have associations with church burnings, murder, and National Socialism. Black metal is generally seen as an underground form of music, in part because it does not appeal to mainstream tastes and because its musicians often choose to remain obscure.

Characteristics

Black metal can contain, but is not limited to, the following characteristics:

Guitars

* Fast, highly distorted guitars played using alternate picking or tremolo picking.
* Relatively thin or thick guitar tone — low frequencies are typically absent, leaving solely the treble and the mids; sometimes with the bass completely removed.
* Pendulum strumming may be applied to fully voiced chords (usually minor) in a denser portion of a piece. The chords may also deliberately shift fully voiced minor barre chords up or down despite the applications suggested by music theory, such as E minor to C minor, which is usually avoided for its extreme dissonance.
* Frequent use of chromatics, shifted up and down by semitones from a given central tonic to create an uneasy atmosphere (commonly featuring the tritone interval). There is also frequent altering of already established scales for a more dissonant, "evil" sound, such as the harmonic minor.
* Infrequent use of guitar solos, when compared to power metal, for example.

Drums

* Double bass, blast beat, and D-beat drumming. This creates a very simplistic yet effective sound.
* In some instances, the drums can take a slower role usually accompanied by a very dry and empty tone — especially for the effect of the atmosphere of the music.
* Some bands, often solo artists, use drum machines instead of a human drummer.

Corpsepaint (seen here on vocalist King Diamond) began as a statement to separate black metal from other rock bands of the era.

Vocals and lyrics

* A distinct harsh vocal style, often a very guttural rasp or a high-pitched shriek. This vocal style is nearly universal in the black metal genre. It is distinct from death metal in this respect, as death metal bands employ low-pitched, growling vocals. Often there is a reverberation effect to make vocals sound cavernous and atmospheric.
* Some bands, particularly symphonic black metal bands, incorporate more traditional vocal styles into songs, often referred to as 'clean' vocals. Some black metal bands such as Arcturus use 'clean' vocals entirely.
* Some black metal songs are complemented with choir-like vocals by males and/or females, much like a Gregorian chant.
* The most common and founding lyrical emphasis revolves around Satanic, Pagan, or occult themes. As the genre grew, a violent and sometimes perverted opposition to Christianity became even more frequent. War, misanthropy, and suicide are often explored. Lyrics may also celebrate environmental origins of bands, celebrating darkness, forests, and other natural surroundings of northern European countries, as well as their folklore and history.
* Lyrical content is sometimes inspired by fantasy as well. The Austrian band Summoning focuses almost exclusively on J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth for its lyrical content. Other bands create their own fictional realms. For instance, certain songs by Immortal depict an imaginary kingdom called "Blashyrkh". Bal-Sagoth also creates fantasy stories that are inspired by writers like Robert E. Howard and H.P. Lovecraft.
